GULFSTREAM INCREASES EUROPEAN SPARES INVENTORY
Luton Spare Parts Inventory Quadruples in Four Years

SAVANNAH , Ga. , May 21, 2007 – Over the past four years, Gulfstream Aerospace has quadrupled the size of its spare parts inventory in Europe. The company now maintains more than $12 million in high-turnover spare parts at its Luton, England, service center to support Gulfstream operators based in Europe and transient operators passing though the region.

In April 2003, Gulfstream began operating in Luton after acquiring the BBA Aviation Luton maintenance business that was known as Signature Flight Support. A year later, Gulfstream doubled its Luton hangar space to 56,000 square feet by leasing an adjacent site. In 2006, approximately 1,300 Gulfstream aircraft were serviced at the Luton facility.

“Today, 13 percent of all the world’s business jets are based in Europe,” said Larry Flynn, president, Product Support, Gulfstream. “This is our largest market outside the United States. As such, we have ramped up our spare parts inventory to ensure our European operators as well as transient operators in Europe receive the parts they need, when they need them.”

Currently, four Gulfstream employees manage, track, stock and dispatch next-day shipments of spare parts to customers in Europe. All Gulfstream customers, including those based in Europe , can order parts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the company’s worldwide Customer Call Center.

Gulfstream also provides spare parts to its authorized warranty centers in Europe, including Jet Aviation facilities in Hanover, Germany; Basel and Geneva, Switzerland; as well as Altenrhein Aviation in Altenrhein, Switzerland.
