GULFSTREAM AEROSPACE PROMOTES BILL M. WILLIAMS TO VICE PRESIDENT OF PRODUCT SUPPORT MATERIALS

SAVANNAH, Ga., July 18, 2007 – Bill M. Williams has been promoted to vice president of product support materials, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. In this newly created position, he will oversee the company's worldwide parts inventory, and repair and overhaul (R&O) operations to ensure consistency across the six Gulfstream Product Support and six General Dynamics Aviation Services facilities.

Bill M. Williams

"Over the past five years, we've concentrated on expanding our spare parts network worldwide," said Larry Flynn, president, Product Support, Gulfstream. "With millions of dollars in inventory dispersed across the globe, all strategically located to meet our customers' requirements, we need a high degree of oversight and management. This is in addition to the procurement of parts for our award-winning service and refurbishment business."

Most recently, Williams was Gulfstream's director of initial phase procurement, overseeing the acquisition of materials used in manufacturing large-cabin business-jet aircraft. Prior to joining Gulfstream, Williams was vice president of supply chain at GKN Aerostructures Group in St. Louis. Williams earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Lambuth College in Jackson, Tenn., and also has completed a number of courses in lean manufacturing.
