G200 Technology

From its glass cockpit to a host of cabin comfort features that will enhance any in-flight experience, the Gulfstream G200® large-cabin, mid-range business jet is a clean ergonomic system.

The G200 encompasses a sleek profile honed by advanced aerodynamics and power provided by two high-thrust, fuel-efficient Pratt & Whitney PW306 engines, the G200 can reach a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.85 and reward its operators with low operating costs.

The G200's glass cockpit, featuring Rockwell Collins ProLine 4 avionics suite, serves up system status flight information on five 7.25 inch-square (46.8 sq cm) displays with EICAS (engine indicating crew alerting system). Some of the safety features include color weather radar with turbulence detection, TCAS II (traffic alert and collision-avoidance system), and EGPWS (enhanced ground proximity warning system) with wind shear detection. Gulfstream also offers an optional auto-throttle system to reduce pilot workload for improved safety.

The avionics suite provides excellent system redundancy encompassing dual FMS (flight management systems), dual digital autopilot and an integrated GPS. Further, it enables the G200 to meet the latest international requirements for RNP (required navigation performance) and RVSM (reduced vertical separation minima). Gulfstream operators can also select the optional PlaneBook™ computer tablet that is loaded with the manuals needed by the pilot to reduce workload and improve efficiency.

The G200 also features the optional AutoPower® automatic throttle system. This advanced technology provides precise air speed control and engine target settings using a smooth, pilot-in-the-loop thrust lever control. AutoPower delivers greater passenger comfort, quieter cabin environment, and increased fuel savings.

Passengers will appreciate the G200's well equipped communications and entertainment systems, which includes dual DVD players, a 15-inch (38 cm) LCD monitor in the forward cabin bulkhead, individual headphone controls at each passenger seat, the Airshow 410 passenger flight information system, a dual-channel ICG-200 Iridium SATCOM system with three handsets, and more.
