The Gulfstream G650® offers the longest, widest, tallest, most comfortable cabin in its class, a living environment designed to provide maximum comfort, safety and productivity on those 7,000 nm (12,964 km) trips to distant world capitals.
Our new cabin environment was engineered from the inside out. Before putting pen to paper, we listened to our fleet operators and incorporated many of their recommendations in our new designs. We increased the length of the fuselage by 24 inches (61 cm), the width by 14 inches (36 cm) and the height by three inches (8 cm) over the Gulfstream G550. We increased the size of our signature oval windows by 16% to 28 (71 cm) by 20.5 inches (52 cm) and repositioned them for maximum viewing pleasure.
We improved the quality of the living environment aboard the Gulfstream G650 by offering the lowest cabin altitude of any business jet – 4,850 feet (1,478 m) at the maximum cruise altitude of 51,000 feet (15,545 m) – to help reduce fatigue on long-range flights. We installed our new Cabin Essential™ package, which incorporates improved onboard lighting with advanced communications systems and enhanced redundancy of essential cabin systems for absolute reliability.
For enhanced productivity, we increased the length of the living area in our cabin to improve the seat incline and provide more legroom. The additional cabin width allows us to offer wider seats, more aisle space and a conference grouping with three-across seating for meetings or meals accommodating up to 6 people. Finally, the additional space allows us to have a larger stateroom option that includes a single seat, a divan that berths into a double bed, a large, 26-inch (66 cm) pop-up LCD monitor and two windows on each side.
The net result of our efforts is an airy, well-lighted, productive or restful cabin environment spacious enough to accommodate business meetings, small-group discussions or restful contemplation on those essential, nonstop journeys to the far corners of the world.
