In addition to its extensive history of highly modified special mission platforms, Gulfstream has been the leading supplier of large cabin business jet based transportation to governments for the last five decades. Many of these national aircraft are modified to detailed user-specified interior configurations, often including comprehensive encrypted and un-encrypted communications capabilities. Among these have been many aircraft used for occasional and in many cases, dedicated head-of-state transportation. In all, about one eighth of all priority transport dedicated Gulfstreams are in fact, head-of-state aircraft.
Gulfstream priority personnel transports are managed and delivered through the same dedicated Program Office which delivers our more complex mission-specific platforms. Gulfstreams form the backbone of the executive transportation capabilities, civil and military, of many nations and are a significant fraction of the governmental aircraft fleet of the U.S. In all, sixty-five Gulfstreams are operated by the U.S. government through various agencies and with all branches of the U.S. military services. No other manufacturers aircraft in government service perform at a higher level of reliability than do Gulfstreams. In each of the U.S. military services, for example, Gulfstreams have the highest dispatch record of all aircraft in service.
Gulfstreams have or currently serve with the governments and military services of nearly 20% of all the countries in the world. International governments have chosen Gulfstreams to support their priority transportation requirements for the same reasons that so many corporations and business professionals have: Unexcelled speed, range, comfort, and reliability. When national leaders need to travel, these are the factors that matter most.
